Pierview is a platform that provides analytics to help brands get mentioned in AI search. This Privacy Notice describes Pierview’s policies and practices regarding its collection and use of your personal data, and sets forth your privacy rights. We recognize that information privacy is an ongoing responsibility, and so we will from time to time update this Privacy Notice as we undertake new personal data practices or adopt new privacy policies.

How We Collect and Use Your Personal Information

We collect and use personal data only as necessary to provide and improve the Pierview platform. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and organization details. This information is used to manage your account, provide access to the platform, and communicate important updates. Authentication is handled by Clerk, our third-party authentication provider.

Website Analytics Data

If you install our tracking script on your website, we collect visitor data including page views, referrer information, device type, and session data. This data belongs to you and is used solely to power your Traffic Analysis dashboard.

AI Agent Visit Data

If you connect a hosting integration (e.g., Vercel), we analyze your server logs to detect visits from AI agents such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Gemini. Only requests matching known AI agent User-Agent patterns are stored. All other traffic is discarded immediately and never stored by Pierview.

Integration Credentials

When you connect third-party services (Google Search Console, Vercel, Framer, Stripe), we store OAuth tokens or API keys encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM encryption. These credentials are used only to access the specific services you have authorized.

Use of the Pierview Website

When you visit our website, we may automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and pages visited. This information helps us understand how our website is used and improve the user experience.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. These cookies are strictly necessary for the platform to function. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

Sharing Information with Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with third-party service providers necessary to operate and deliver the Pierview platform. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.

Our current subprocessors include:

• Clerk — Authentication and user management
• Stripe — Payment processing
• Neon — Database hosting (US-based)
• Vercel — Application hosting (US-based)
• OpenAI, Anthropic, Google — AI model providers for visibility analysis

We may also disclose your information if required by law, legal process, or government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Pierview, our users, or others.

Data Storage and Retention

Your personal data is stored by Pierview on its servers, and on the servers of the cloud-based database management services Pierview engages, located in the United States. Pierview retains service data for the duration of the customer’s business relationship with Pierview and for a period of time thereafter, to analyze the data for Pierview’s own operations, and for historical and archiving purposes associated with Pierview’s services. Pierview retains prospect data until such time as it no longer has business value and is purged from Pierview systems. All personal data that Pierview controls may be deleted upon verified request from Data Subjects or their authorized agents. We do not knowingly attempt to solicit or receive information from children.
